Tuesday sends some of it’s big guns to Thursday, and the late shift features 4 crossovers.  Good watching!

Game O’ The Evenin

TH- #5 Yay (7-1) -1 vs TU-#12 O.C. (3-5):  I may end up with a lot of egg on my face for ignoring the fact that Thursday A is 0-14 against Tuesday, but I was so wrong on the Yay game last week I have to err this way.  They blew out the team that looked like a challenger, GOB, 15-0.  Of course OC handled GOB as well, and that’s the only common opponent.  They also have nearly mirror image averages.  Yay has a lot of confidence (Jewdy will do that for a team) and even Ralphie has gotten better at trash talking OC in anticpation of the match, telling Nuber he might need a diaper because he would poop his pants.  OC loves this kind of situation, a young upstart full of themselves thinking they can stick it to the old-timers.  They’ll rise up for it, but I’ll give Yay the slim margin because they are hosting this game on a Thursday and Thursday has to win one eventually, right?

Early Games

#19 Happy Hands (6-2) -5 vs Lesbowlians (2-6):  The Happy Hands have the division under control after winning the first place showdown last week.  Now they just need to take care of their own business.  The Lesbowlians would love to have a say in that but haven’t played that well as of late.  Maybe it’s because I keep saying they are primed to breakout, and since I’m discounting their chances this week they’ll surprise me.

Clockwork (5-3) -5 vs Bowlderdash (3-5): This is the time of year DHD/White Whale/Tequila Mocckingbirds/Clockwork Oranges start hitting their stride.  Coco Lopez solidifies the lineup, and Ishmael, Riggs and Fern all seem to be done traveling.  There was even a Harlyn P sighting last week!  Bowlderdash is fading fast, though a matchup with their top rival may be enough to shake some life back into them.  (Note, I am not a trained EMT).

Guacabowle (5-3) -9 vs Bad News Spares (0-8):  Guacabowle will move to 6-3, both teams will be happy.

Wrecking Balls (5-3) -1 vs Lovernauts (3-5): A must win for the Balls to contend for a title, and for the Lovernauts to stay out of the bottom 4.  The Dude and Dude Jr combo should be enough to edge Rufio’s crew in a close one.

Late Games

Roll Another (4-4) -3 vs 5 O’Clocks (3-5):  Roll Another is the hardest team to predict.  I’m going to stop trying to analyze why, I’ll just pick them by three.  The 5 O’s got their mojo back though so can’t be counted out.  I have no idea what’s going to happen here.  There, I said it.

TU – #10 Linguists (4-4) -5 vs TH – Pinny Candy (1-7): Just what the doctor ordered for the linguists, a chance to get their confidence back up and get back above .500.  Pinny Candy has been showing improvement and could potentially push this to three games if Skittles is healthy.

TU – #3 B.E.E.R. (7-1) -5 vs TH – #9 G.O.B. (6-2):  Bowltron has been smack talking, but it rings hollow after GOB’s tough beatdown last week.  Perhaps they’ll play looser now and roll better with the pressure off.  I would think so.  B.E.E.R. has no room for error if they want to try to keep pace with the two juggernauts, BIB and SOD.  Unleash the Hacksaw and page Dr. Boogie.

TU – #1 Sons of Danarchy (7-1) vs TH – #14 Y&B (5-3):  Y&B got some big wins and seem secure in their place int he standings.  That’s good because this one looks pretty tough.  SD is putting up 800s on the regular.  They are really good and cruising right now.  Pistol will be debuting the War Eagle, and it will need to slash pins for Y&B to keep this one interesting.

TU – #13 XXX Club (3-5) -3 vs TH – #18 – TDYOB (4-4):  Tango and Dr. Thunder’s online fued seems to have chilled out this year, but they still will love battling each other on the lanes.  The Club have been struggling but have a winnable game here.  TDYOB needs an upset to erase last week’s game from their memories and to try and get a better playoff seed.  Mostly this is just for bragging rights because these guys will definitely talk about the results.

  1. Ralphie, you & Mona need to step up and become the reigning queens of Thursdays. Forget about the smack. Kill the pins!

    1. This a BoPo first, asking for smack advise?! From none other than the good ol’ Doc himself nonetheless. I would expect this from Tango, but you Ralphie?! Caaaaaaamon!!

      1. Gotta say I have renounced smack talking, it only leads to losing. Which is fine when you are just looking to hang out, have a few laughs, drink a few beers and hang out with a 20 day old baby at the lanes.

        Roll Bork!!!!!
