Yo Bowlers,
True to form, I have constructed an overly elaborate playoff structure. The good news is everyone is guaranteed at least 3 games. The bad news? Well, just that it looks complicated. So, try to follow along.
PLAYOFFS WEEK 1 (March 25th)
7:00 PM – Prelims
Gm 1 – #12 vs #5
Gm 2 – #11 vs #6
Gm 3 – #10 vs #7
Gm 4 – #9 vs #8
These are one game matches. Each team picks four bowlers, and plays one game. Winner advances. If the score is tied (2.5 to 2.5) both teams choose one bowler each for a bowloff.
8:00 pm – GutterBracket
(These games are played with the same rules as the prelims – 4 on 4, one game, winner take all. Any bowler who didn’t bowl in the prelims has to bowl in this round.)
Gm 5 – Loser Gm 1 vs Loser Gm 4
Gm 6 – Loser Gm 2 vs Loser Gm 3
9th Place Game:
Winner Gm 5 vs Winner Gm 6
11th Place Game:
Loser Gm 5 vs Loser Gm 6
8:00 PM – Quarterfinals
(Same format as regular season)
Gm 7 – #4 vs Winner Gm 1
Gm 8 – #3 vs Winner Gm 2
Gm 9 – #2 vs Winner Gm 3
Gm 10 – #1 vs Winner Gm 4
So, after week 1, we will have 4 teams still alive for the title, four teams playing in the middle bracket, and four teams completely finished.

That may sound complicated, but it’s actually pretty simple. I’ll walk you all through it when the time comes. Now, in the words of GWBush, go out there and “snatch defeat from the jaws of those that are trying to defeat us”.
