It’s another glorious BoPo Tuesday, with some combination of ice and rain and snow between 1 and 6 inches. Just grossness outside, pure joy inside. BoPo you magical beast.
Before ‘Puerto Rico!’, before “HUUUUGE Double’, there was ‘HOTTTT MANG-GO!’ Well welcome back to the future. It’s always great when OG BoPoers who strayed from the flock come back in. In some of the hottest Pinder action in years, Binga’s legend Hot Mango was signed to the Red Silk Pajamas (a.k.a. Leisure Rolls). Savvy move as always by legendary GM Magic, who has more various bowling titles titles and more former teammates than anyone in the history of Bayside Bowl. Seven degrees of Magic Bacon. Oh man I sound like Karl Fungus already and it’s only 10am. Let’s do lines!
Tuesday A (my prediction record: 2-4)
Game of the Week: Saucy Posse (1-0) -5 vs Waste Management (1-0)
It’s hard not to think this whole season is a just a tale bowled by idiots, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing, as Saucy Posse should just cruise to yet another title. Splinter vehemently reminded us last year that they are just at a different level and we have no business competing with them. But that’s why we play the games I guess, and plenty of BoPo years have seen the ‘obvious’ winner not win. Waste Management signed a true competitor for Top Dawg in Col. Sanders, and he will match up with the lifetime Top Bitch Nut Sauce in this one as two of only 4 bowlers averaging over 190. Crazy ass stat. Trash built a solid team, but now they face the ultimate test. I think SauPo wins handily but Waste Management has an opportunity to make an early statement.

Game of the Week: TOTY (1-0) -1 vs Strikes on Tap (1-0): Looks like we have a showdown on our hands! Sweet Hot Gravy leads TOTY with a sterling 188.7 average (second in B only to El Mango’s amazing 209). These teams both started off with solid wins are within a couple pins of each other in average. I’m giving the slight edge to TOTY because they bowled on the West Side last week as well. In a huge 17-team division a 2-0 start is a big deal. I’ll be watching this one.
