As all but the league rookies know, this has been the quietest BoPo season of all time. No lines, recaps, podcasts. Minimal trashtalk, tv shows filming us, no mid-season PBA. Mostly that’s on me, as I’ve wanted to focus on just enjoying my own team and season. We also miss all our old writers and contributors who have retired or been in comas. The reality is 54 teams is a lot to write about. When I walk through a Thursday night I don’t know at least 25% of the bowlers, and they don’t know me. It’s wild!
We are now in the real thick of it, March is when it all gets real. Singles and Doubles qualifying going on, busy lanes every day, regular season games winding down. The race for MVP to me has a coupe clear frontrunners that I drunkenly covered on the FDDS coverage of the all-star game. Team of the Year is wide open, top dog is a nailbiter.
